DILLON: "With New York leading two to nothing, Montreal's Gilo Fleur score his 26th goal against John Davidson. Seventeen seconds later in the second period, the Rangers went ahead three-one. New York born left wing Nick Buttio on a set-up from Pierre Platt clipped Ken Dryden for his second goal of the season, and that opened the flood-gates. Ron Duget got his eleventh goal as Montreal's nine-game unbeaten run ended. Centre Oluf Neilson made five-one with his 14th goal, while his fellow Swede and right-wing Anders Edbert put in his 16th. The Rangers six-Montreal two; and all that Canadian goalie Ken Dryden could say was - 'It was strange out there'. Len Dillon reporting."
