    NEGROES LEADERS URGED THE CROWD TO GO HOME, BUT SOME NEGROES STAYED PUT AND HURLED ROCKS AT POLICE AND NEARBY HOUSES.POLICE USED TEAR GAS AND SPRAYED WATER FROM FIRE HOSES TO DISPERSE THEM.ABOUT 69 WERE ARRESTED.
