    HE CALLED ON HIS AUDIENCE TO CARRY OUT A NATIONAL ECONOMIC BOYCOTT AGAINST FIRMS WHICH REFUSE TO EMPLOY NEGROES, OR HIRE THEM ON A TOKEN BASIS.

    THE REV. LUTHER KING WAS ONE OF THE LEADERS OF THE CAMPAIGN AGAINST SEGREGATION IN THE SOUTHERN STATES OF THE US.
