The little Major mentioned in the clip is none other than Cadet Major Max Karo (at the end of the WW2 he was given an MBE) originally a German in 1902 he naturalised and be came a UK citizen, in 1909 he joined the Stock Exchange. In 1914 he joined the 26th Royal Fusiliers (The Bankers) and in 1918 he became CSM B Coy the 38th Royal Fusiliers and went to Palestine, after the War he joined the Jewish Lads Brigand and in 1926 he set up the Stock Exchange Cadet Company, as part of the City of London ACF. During WW2 he became a member of the Home Guard and an acting Lt Col. He retired from the Cadets in 1951 aged 75. He died in 1962 2 weeks after his book was published.
