    "The secret of victory consists in heavy and decisive preponderance over the enemy at the decisive moment and in the decisive place. The decisive moment is the year of 1942. The decisive place is the front of the U.S.S.R.

    LV Maisky speaking:

    "We have to start from this if the Allies really desire to achieve victory and I have not the slightest doubt that they do desire it. They have to throw into the battle everything that they have got.

    SV Maisky speaking:

    "Then there remains but the task of finishing off the mad beast. Future generations will then be able, to mark the year 1942 as the beginning of the new and better epoch in the history of humanity." (Applause)
