SV Mr. Hawatmeh answers English question about Governor Ronald Reagan in Arabic
RACHED: "Mr. Hawatmeh, could you explain to us the position of the Palestinian delegation at the forthcoming United Nations General Assembly meeting about the Palestinian question?
Mr. Nawatmeh said that the United Nations should take a decision affirming the rejection of the Israeli claims on Jerusalem. They should he said, condemn the Camp David agreements and the Palestinian self rule plans.
RACHED: "Mr. Reagan has been appointed the Republican Party's candidate for the Presidential elections. Could you comment on his Middle East policy?"
Mr. Nawatmeh attacked Governor Reagan's policies saying that he has adopted an attitude of complete support of Israel and its expansionist and aggressive policies. Mr. Nawatmeh also condemned the attempt on the life of former Iranian Prime Minister Shapur Bakhtiar. Gunmen burst into Dr. Bakhtiar's Paris flat on Friday (18 July) -- they were allegedly Palestinians acting on Iranian orders.
