INTERVIEWER: Have Your Honour, will you please tell us the purpose of your visit to Greece?
KAG: We came to Greece to see the Greek authorities about the eleven people who were thrown into the sea by the captain of the Garoufalios. I don't know whether I am Pronouncing it properly. Our intention is to find as much information as the Greek Government knows about the affair, so we can report back to our own governments. We are also investigating the matter from our own side, so we can put the two reports together and see what we can do about the affair.
INTERVIEWER: Could you please tell me the names or the numbers of this delegation?
KAG: The delegation is composed of...
INTERVIEWER: Who are the other members of the delegation, your Honour?
CU KAG: I am accompanied by one member of parliament of Kenyan who is also the Secretary General of the Seaneb Union, called Abdulla Maruha and also Under Secretary to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Bernard Mudhu and Second Secretary in our Kenyan High Commission in London Mr Mykumi Mughuru.
INTERVIEWER: Have you got any definite plans for handling this case yet?
KAG: What we came here, as I told you earlier, is to find out the facts as known by the Greek authorities and then from there we shall go back to Kenya and see whether we can put the facts together because our side is also investigating the matter with a view to finding out how exactly these eleven people got onto the ship. We are not really sure that they are stowaways in view of the fact that we have very strong securities... measures at the port. We cannot allow for anybody to ship though.....immigration, customs and the port authorities to reach a ship which is uncut in the sea.
