Background: In a very colour ceremony at Delhi's Palam Airport, Mar 2, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh took leave of Indian President Prasad and Premier Nehru before boarding their aircraft and flying to Teheran, Persia, at the end of the four-week tour of India, Pakistan, and Nepal.

Before bidding good-bye to her Indian hosts, Queen Elizabeth inspected a guard of honour. Then, handshakes over, they boarded their "Britannia" aircraft, turned at the stairhead for a last wave of farewell, and took off for Persia.

To newsmen after the departure, Premier Nehru said; "We enjoyed the visit and we hope she also enjoyed it." Reports state that Her Majesty has invited President Prasad to make a State visit to Britain. Though no certain date has been announced, it is thought to be in September.
