Background: A recent emigrant form the Soviet Union is this week competing at the Olympic Games in Munich - for Israel. Mark Slavin is eighteen, and left the Soviet Union three months ago with his parents and sister to take up residence in Israel.
For Israel he is competing in the Greco-Roman division of the wrestling competition and Israeli officials believe he would have been an automatic selection for the Soviet team had he remained in the Soviet Union.
Israel has a small team at the Munich Olympics....only fifteen strong. But Mark Slavin is one of their chief hopes.
