Background: Persia's new 'Reform' Cabinet, under Premier Emini, met for the first time at the Premier's office, Teheran, May 10.
The previous day, the new Cabinet was formally presented for the approval of the Shah, who with wide constitutional powers dissolved both Houses of the Iranian Parliament.
The dissolution followed the fall of the government of Mr. Jafar Sharif Emini, who resigned as Premier May 5 after a week-long strike by state employed teachers.
May 11, the Emini cabinet announced details of plans for land reform economies and probes to root out corruption in Government administration.
