Background: The school holiday has arrived and with it the New Year parties. This fine fir tree is at the Moscow Circus. Grandfather frost and the Snow Girl arrive on the traditional Russian troika.

It appears that the Show Girl can not only walk but she can even dance on a wire rope. But, perhaps, the most fun the young spectators get is by watching this hippo receiving his food. The school holiday brings many pleasant surprises to the Soviet children.
