Background: The first meeting of Anti-Colonial League, which aims at combatting world-wide imperialism, started a two-day session in Athens on Saturday (5 October), when the Cyprus question was predictably among the most burning topics of debate.

Yesterday's meeting had drawn delegates from several Western European countries, from the Soviet Union, the Arab World and from Palestinian and Chilean Liberation movements.
