Background: Mussolini's youngest daughter 31-year-old Anna Maria, was married to jazz musician Giuseppe Negri, 26, at Classes near Ravenna, Italy, June 11. Among the 400 people who attended the service was the late dictator's widow Donna Rachele, and her daughter Edda Ciano. Edda's husband Count Ciano was executed by a Fascist firing squad for opposing his father-in-law Mussolini in a council vote.
Also present were several neo-Fascist deputies of the M.S.I. Party as well as Prince Valerio Borghese, who commanded an elite corps of marines during a number of raids on British naval bases in the war.
After the wedding ceremony the priest read and greetings telegram from Pope John XXIII. The young couple met through Anna Maria's brother Romano, who is a jazz pianist. While on honeymoon they will drive to Mussolini's grave at Forli.
