    (WEAVER) Comings and goings at Prime Minister's Office in Tel Aviv as the Labour Party's standing committee decides on the list of candidates for the May election. We see Rabin entering, Allon entering, various other ministers entering. Peres exits and makes brief statement in English. Asked if the list was complete he replies that it would not be finalised until tomorrow (Monday). Asked if he had enough votes to form a government he replies, "Yes, we do".

    (WEAVER) Mapam central committee meets to decide how it will stand if Peres is elected Labour Party leader. On film we see, Peres and Justice Minister Zadok arriving; various views committee in session with Peres and Eban attending; Natural and Hebrew sound.

    (MOLAD) One of the last items on the "Passover Schedule" was an Oriental Jewish festival in Jerusalem. Amid the sound of drums and flutes, dancing girls and other displays of orientalism, the leader of the Democratic Movement for Change, Yigal Yadin, comments in English on the Rabin resignation. He says it was very sad that such a career...an illustrious career..should come to such an end. But it would make no difference to his party, which was founded several months ago not against individuals but to bring about a complete change in the system.

    (WEAVER) The Labour Party's central Committee met in Tel Aviv this evening (Sunday) to endorse the choice of Shimon Peres as Party leader, following yesterdays decision to do so by the Central Committee. We see Peres speaking in Hebrew to assembled committee members, various ministers including Rabin and Allon listening, audience applauding and taking vote on Peres.

    Peres Press conference. This evening in Tel Aviv, Peres gave a brief press conference in English. In a statement he said that there will be no basic change in Israel's foreign police as a result of the leadership change. Israel still wanted meaningful negotiation with its arab neighbours to achieve a real and complete ??? Israel's positions at the negotiating table were well known and there would not be any change to arouse curiosity or war.
