Background: Jordan's King Hussein met British Prime Minister Harold Wilson in London on Monday (12 May) to discuss the Middle East situation.
King Hussein met Mr. Wilson for one hour and the talks were held in what was officially described as a "very cordial atmosphere". Foreign Minister James Callaghan was present at the meeting.
Earlier, King Hussein met the Defence Minister Roy Mason.
King Hussein, who flew in from Washington, arrived on Sunday amid tight security following a report of an assassination plot on his life.
