Background: The Muslims of India celebrated the Id ul Zuha all over India on 18th June, 1959. Muslims from all nook and corners of life forget old rivalries and throng towards the city mosques to offer Imaz (Prayers) An warning hours. A multitude of humanity is assembled in and around the historic Jama Masjid to offer prayers. Children are clad on colourful clothes while surprisingly women folk pray at home or in separate closed quarters of the mosque. On this day sheep and goats are sacrificed to the Gods and meat distributed amongst friends and relatives. After the prayers, hoards of sheep are outside for sale to those who have been late.
