Background: Cyprus President Makarios, accompanied by his Foreign Minister Mr. Christofides, stopped over at Athens airport on his way to New York to attend the UNO session on Cyprus and had talks on the problem with Greek Premier Constantine Karamanlis. Makarios reviewed the whole situation with the Greek Premier and agreed on the greek-cyprus line of policy to be followed in the UNO. Already, Greek Foreign Minister Demetrios Bitsios arrived in New York to attend the session. Karamanlis met Makarios at Athens airport where the two men had a private talk.
