Fidel Castro Ruz payed homage in a minute of silence to Lenin, the organiser of the Communist party of the Soviet Union and the architect of the world's first socialist state.
Next the distinguished guest layed a wreath on the Grave of the Unknown soldier beside the Kremlin wall.
The wreath laying ceremony was attended by Cuban party and government officials accompanying Fidel Castro and by Raul Garcia Pelaez, the Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba in the Soviet Union.
On the same day talks began in the ???mlin of the General Secretary of the Soviet communist party Leonid Brezhnev, President Nikolai Podgorni, Premier Alexel ???ygin with Fidel Castro Ruz and the Secretariat member of the Central Committee of the Cuban Communist party, minister of the Revolutionary government of the republic of Cuba Carlos Rafael Rodriguez.
Further development and strengthening of friendship ??? all-around cooperation between the communist parties of the USSR and Cuba and both countries were discussed. The sides exchanged views on topical problems of the international situation and cooperation in the interests of stronger socialism, general peace and social progress of the people of the world.
The talks took place in an atmosphere of fraternal friendship, complete identity of views and cordiality.
