Background: In the West End of London on Sunday (August 15th), supporters of the breakaway East Pakistan Bangla Desh movement staged a mock-massacre - a re-enactment, they claimed, of real massacres of Bangla Desh supporters in Pakistan itself. The protest was staged outside the U.S. Embassy.

The dramatic protest came on the same day as the much bigger rally to Trafalgar Square by supporters of the Pakistan Government. Thousands of Pakistanis from across Britain took part in the rally, shouting anti-Bangla Desh slogans as they moved through London's streets.

British viewers saw both pro and anti-Bangla Desh demonstrators on B.B.C television on Sunday evening.
