    MR. STEVE J. HURN, AGED 47, AND HIS 43-YEAR-OLD WIFE JOAN, MOVED INTO THE HOUSE FIVE YEARS AGO. THEY TURNED IT INTO A SMART HOME, WITH A GARAGE BUSINESS IN THE BACKYARD.

    THE AREA HAS BEEN MARKED FOR DEMOLITION BY THE LOCAL COUNCIL WHICH OBTAINED A COMPULSORY PURCHASED ORDER.

    AN OFFER OF GBP13,500 FROM THE COUNCIL WAS REJECTED BY MR. AND MRS.HURN, AND AN EVICTION NOTICE WAS SERVED ON THEM.

    MR. HURN, A WARTIME PRISONER OF WAR OF THE GERMANS, HAS UNTIL AUGUST 31 TO VACATE HIS HOME.
