Background: A very impressive National Demonstration has taken place in Bruges, to honour Mr. Van Acker, Prime Minister of Belgium. Born in Bruges, in 1898, Mr. Van Acker is Prime Minister of Belgium since 5 years. His part colleagues and fans wanted to celebrate this by organising this great manifestation through the streets of the city.
The 9 Belgian provinces sent their delegations and the crowd of manifestants was estimated at about 400.000.
Enthusiastically cheered by the huge crowd, Mr. Van Acker marches at the head of the procession, preceded by the numerous party flags. Then the Prime Minister takes his place on the official tribune, while the various delegations defile for him.
