    UNITED STATES EFFORTS IN FIGHTING THE EPIDEMIC INCLUDE THE FLYING IN OF AT LEAST FOUR MILLION UNITS OF VACCINE PLUS OTHER MEDICAL SUPPLIES FOR TREATMENT.

    DOCTOR LE CUU TRUONG , DIRECTOR GENERAL OF HEALTH AND HOSPITALS, TOLD A PRESS CONFERENCE THERE WERE 899 SUSPECTED CHOLERA CASES. IN SAIGON ALONE WITH A POPULATION OF 1.4 MILLION, 828 CASES WERE REPORTED OF WHICH WERE FATAL.
