Background: In Jerusalem on Saturday (23 October), a 23-year-old woman gave birth to quintuplets after undergoing fertility treatment.
According to sources at Hadassah Hospital, the mother, Mrs. Berman, and her babies -- two boys and three girls -- were all doing well.
The multiple birth, which the sources said took only three minutes, was performed by caesarean section and was about two months premature.
The father, Mr. Yitzhak Berman, who owns an embroidery shop in the city, later told newsmen he was delighted at the multiple birth. "I want a bigger family, at least eight children," he said.
