Background: In presence of Their Hignesses Princess Sophie and Irene of Greece, Prince Michael of Greece, and their guests Prince Heinrich Von Hess, Otto Von Hess, Reiner Von Hess and Louis Von Baden (cousin of Prince Philip and the Earl of Mountbatten), and Greek Premier and Mrs. Karamanlis, many Cabinet Members, the British Ambassador to Athens Sir Roger Allen, the Diplomatic Corps and the best Athenian Society, the world-famous "Halle" Orchestra gave its concert in the 2000-year-old Odeon of Herod Atticus Theatre. Before leaving for Turkey, Cyprus, Yugoslavia and Italy, the Halle Orchestra, under Mo Sir John Barbirolli, will give two more concerts arranged by the Athens Festival Committee of 1961 in conjunction with the Athens British Council. Mrs Gina Bachauer, famous Greek pianist, was the solist at Halle's concert which has been warmly applaused by the attendance.
