Background: The Jordanian Prime Minister, Mr Wasfi Tell, yesterday (Monday) received a delegation representing Palestinian refugees living at Soukhneh village.
Jordanian and Palestinian delegations have been calling almost daily at the Prime Minister's office to declare support for the Government's and the Army's firm line against the Palestinian commandos, and their rejection of separate Palestinian state. ( A similar delegation was shown in Visnews Production 3682/71, serviced yesterday).
Radio Amman has also issued repeated reports about cables of support reaching King Hussein from people in different parts of the country.
These stories suggest that a "silent majority" may be emerging in Jordan as a counterbalance to the Palestinian guerrilla movements.
