TRANSCRIPT: SPEECH: "Referring to the Patriotic Front Stance, if that was what you were referring to, I think we will get on. There 's no doubt in my mind that the Patriotic Front are going to stay in to the end. In fact this is the plan. I'm satisfied it was plan that was made in Lusaka at the Prime Ministers conference. Therefore there will be no walkout....."
....."If in the end the plan is unacceptable, i if it is not going to preserve the kind of thing which I mentioned, law and order, security, if it is not going to bring an end to sanctions and an end to the war and give us hope, then I don't think it will go through parliament....."
....."Providing a united front, this is true. Through clever tactics, sad tactics, the British government has succeeded in dividing us and because of this I find, particularly among the white people, disenchantment with our black representatives in that they have gone back on agreements which were made recently; in other words the third of March agreement and people have said to me, You told us that our blacks were going to be straightforward and honest in the agreements they have made. Rhodesia was going to be different to the rest of Africa, and I believe we were going to be. If they had left us alone we would ??? have been. But they have succeeded in ??? us - a very cunning plan"
