    MEANWHILE THE SWEDISH DRIVER'S FIANCEE, PAT MOSS OF BRITAIN, WAS KNOCKED OUT OF THE COMPETITION, DURING THE NIGHT, WHEN HER FORD CORTINA OVERTURNED NEAR KARATU, NORTHERN TANGANYIKA.MISS MOSS AND HER CO-DRIVER WERE REPORTED UNHURT.

    CARLSSON'S NEAREST RIVAL, ANOTHER FORD CORTINA, DRIVEN BY MR.YOUNGHUSBAND AND MR.HECHLE OF KENYA, HAD LOST 88 POINTS AT PANGAWE.
