Background: Carabini??, Italy's para-military police today discovered a third hideout used by the Red Brigades in the sea port town of Ostia, near Rome. The hideout, a street level garage at Via delle Gondole, according to the carabin???, was likely used as a "logistics" base rather than a hideout.
Police found a large amount of ammunition, five rifles, two carbines, 2 automatic pistols, a machine gun, 6 pistols, 30 kilos of explosives and fuses, flash licence plates, a mimeograph machine, a teleprinter and other materials.
Police also found the originals of several Red Brigade and NAP-Armed procle??? Nuclei (another terrorist or ???) communiques which claimed responsibility for various terrorist actions in the Rome area.
Last week police found two red brigade hideouts in Rome and arrested five persons suspected of belonging to the terrorist organization. This time, police did not make any arrests.
