TRANSCRIPT (SEQ 1-2): COMMISSIONER: "MY QUESTION TO YOU NOW, IS: YOU'VE HEARD YOUR FATHER-IN-LAW'S STATEMENT ON OATH, AND YOU HAVE ADMITTED THROUGH THE PREVIOUS STATEMENT THAT YOUR FATHER IN LAW GAVE YOU A GIFT OF GBP1,000 IS IT TRUE OR FALSE?"

BAAKO: THE GIFT OF GBP800 IS NOT TRUE....

COMMISSIONER: I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT.... (GARBLED) ... YOU KNOW THAT IT'S TRUE, DON'T YOU, THAT YOUR FATHER-IN-LAW NEVER GAVE YOU ANY GIFT OF GBP800. HE GAVE YOU A LOAN OF GBP800 -- NOT A GIFT -- A MONETARY GIFT.

BAAKO: IN THE LIGHT OF THAT .....IS NOT TRUE

COMMISSIONER: NO MITIGATING CIRCUMSTANCES HAVE BEEN SHOWN, WHICH MAKES THIS CASE DIFFERENT FROM THE CASES OF THOSE...WHO HAVE PERJURED THEMSELVES......BEFORE THIS COMMISSION. THEREFORE I SENTENCE YOU TO THREE MONTHS IN PRISON WITH HARD LABOUR. (SOUND OF DISORDER)
