Background: The Australian Prime Minister, Mr. Gough Whitlam, allegedly threw a woman reporter's microphone down the steps outside a church in Sydney on Sunday (8 December).
Mr. Whitlam was apparently angry over a question regarding the Morosi affair -- the continuing controversy in Australia over attractive Miss Juni Morosi, 41, becoming private secretary to Deputy Prime Minister, Dr. Jim Cairns.
Miss Hilary Roots of Channel 10, a Sydney TV Station, asked Mr. Whitlam about the report of the Corporate Affairs Commission. The commission was set up to look into allegations concerning companies owned by Miss Morosi and her husband, David Ditchburn.
Miss Roots later said she was shaken by the Prime Minister's reaction. She was at the St. Mary's Church in North Sydney where Mr. and Mrs. Whitlam were attending the wedding of a friend, Mr. Jim Bosnjak.
