Background: An ancient bronze bottle, which is expected to greatly help archaeological studies, has been discovered in excavations at a site on the campus of Jordan University, near Amman.

The bottle, four inches (10cm) high and tightly sealed, carried Ammonite inscriptions which have been deciphered by Dr. Fowzi Ziadin, of the Department of Antiquities.

The Inscription explains the planting of a vine-yard and gardens, the digging of cisterns and the erection of monuments that took place in the seventh Century B.C.

The inscription is the first complete and clear example of details that were previously unknown from the Ammonite language.
