Background: SYNOPSIS: SYDNEY's annual wine-waiters' race. The table reached, they had to go through a routine to which they're NOT strangers. So began Wine Week in AUSTRALIA. Red wine and suitable encouragement were the order of the day, and soon it was obvious who the winner would be.
It was ALAN JUHR who raced home for a comfortable victory in his "working" clothes of evening-dress and long white apron. There were, of course, certain stipulations which NOT all the contestants could meet; spilling the wine was one of them.
A win for ALAN JUHR -- the prelude to a round of conferences by producers of AUSTRALIAN wine, now a booming industry. That was at the Show ground.
