Background: Jordan and the USSR have renewed their agreement by which the two countries co-operation in a yearly programme of cultural and technical progress.
The social ceremony at which the 1972 programme was signed was attended on Monday (22 May) by Mr. Adnan Abu Odeh, representing the Jordanian Government, and the ??? Ambassador to Jordan, ???.
The signing took place in Amman's Ministry of culture and Information centre, and was ??? by the Under secretary or the Ministry of Information, the Director of the Press Department senior officials of the Ministry of Information, and senior members of the USSR Embassy staff.
The agreement provides for the exchange of ideas and technicians in the information field.
SYNOPSIS: A programme of cultural and technical progress between Jordan and the USSR was renewed for another year at a ceremony on Monday at the Jordanian Ministry of Culture and Information. The USSR Ambassador to Jordan, Mr. Anatoli Anisinof, represented his Government, and was met by Mr. Adnan Abu Odeh, on behalf of the Jordanian Government.
The agreement is signal each year, and brings ??? the ??? of a wider treaty signal several years ago. The 1972 agreement, being signed and witnessed in this special ceremony, emphasises increased co-operation in the information field. Watching the ceremony were senior Jordanian Information officers.
The treaty terms include provision for exchange in ideas and visits of technical and advisory teams between the two countries.
