Background: The Shah of Persia touched down at Geneva in his own Viscount airliner after a flight from Italy, December 3.
On a private visit, he was due to have consultations with his doctor and his dentist.
He was staying in the Tranchees quarter in the luxurious apartment of General Zahedi, his former prime minister who is now a United Nations representative in Geneva.
General Zahedi is the father-in-law of the Shah's daughter, Chahnaz, who has just given birth to a girl in Teheran.
It is understood that the Shah may visit the mountains for rest and winter sports. At the same time it is rumoured that his former wife, Queen Soraya, who has been travelling between Madrid and Germany for some time, is to visit Geneva also on the start of a winter sports holiday.
