Background: President Moktar Ould Daddah of Mauritania stopped in Morocco for twenty-four hours on Saturday (16th February) on his way to an Islamic Summit conference in Pakistan.
The Moroccan Premier, Ahmed Osman, welcomed the President and his wife at Rabat airport. That night they were entertained by King Hassan the Second at a banquet.
Before he left Rabat on Sunday (17th February), President Ould Daddah said he had discussed bilateral relations and the situation in the Middle East and Africa with King Hassan. Their points of view, he said, were identical.
The President and his party will also call at Geneva on his way to the conference in Lahore for talks with President Habib Bourguiba of ???, who is staying at the Swiss resort of Gstaad.
