SLATE INFORMATION: Scenes at the farewell of the heroic General Leman to the Military and War Schools of Belgium, on his leaving to take command of the Fortifications of Liege.
General Leman, with a small army of 16,000 men succeeded in holding in check for 12 days the German army 15 times larger in numbers. His Majesty, King Albert I, King of the Belgians, appoints Gen Leman Commander of the fortification of Liege. The civil and military professors, the officers pupils of the war school, among whom are some Servian and Rumanian officers, the officers of artillery and engineers of the practical school, the candidates for commissions in various branches of the army and the personnel of the school, prepare to receive the general.
