Mr. Lee is accompanied on his visit by the Singapore Foreign Minister, Mr. S. Rajaratnam and Finance Minister, Mr. Hon Sui Sen. They were met at Kuala Lumpur airport by Datuio Hussein and Senio Malaysian Cabinet Ministers.
Mr. Lee is returning a visit by Datuk Hussein to Singapore earlier this year. After the brief reception at the airport, Mr. Lee was accompanied by the Malaysian Prime Minister to the "Istane Tetamu" ..... or Government Guest Palace.....where they held private talks.
Government officials said the talks revolved around regional developments in South East Asia, particularly those in Thailand and Vietnam. Although there is no official agenda for the talks, officials said they would also include ways of increasing bilateral trade, and greater co-ordination and consolations between the two leaders on questions of international affairs.
