    Background: Visnews filmed King
Frederick of Denmark starting - with the push of a button - the turbines of the
new Asnaes Power Station on the island of Zealand in Kalundborg Fjord, June 9.

The King arrived by the Royal yacht at the massive Power Station, where he was
received by members of the Government.

Power from the Asnaes station will be transmitted to Sweden when Swedish
hydro-electric power is scarce through prolonged water shortage; when surplus
power is available in Sweden it is channelled to Denmark.

Kalundborg Fjord provides excellent harbour facilities for the Asnaes Power
Station. It's deep and rarely frozen, thus simplifying the unloading of the oil
and coal fuel. The huge Swiss-made turbines in the new power station are among
    the largest in Europe.
