Background: Poland's Prime Minister Piotr Jaroszewicz arrived in Paris on Wednesday (5 May) with the aim of trebling trade between his country and France.
During his visit, Mr. Jaroszewicz will sign a new Franco-Polish trade and industrial co-operation pact. The pact will also greatly increase relations between the two countries.
It's the Polish Prime Minister's first visit to Paris during which he will meet French Prime Minister Jacques Chirac and President Giscard d'Estaing.
One of the main items on the visiting Prime Minister's agenda is a French company's plan to build a chemical fertiliser plant in Poland worth more than 250 million pounds (2,000 million Frances).
