Establishers of show ring, record jump. "Dear Brutus", riden by Mr. Russell Stewart, cleared the imitation stone wall topped by imitation green grass with room to spare. Earlier in the competition, "Dear Brutus" cleared seven feet, one-inch, but stumbled sending Mr. Russell to the ground. Neither horse nor rider was hurt. The victory in the high jump gave the horse its third successive win in the Puissance Stakes. A crowd of more than 7-thousand people turned out for what is the last horse show at the old Madison Square Garden. A new arena, also called Madison Square Garden, is being built and is expected to be completed sometime in 1968. Riders from Great Britain and West Germany are competing in the international events.
