Taiwan, South Korea and Indonesia each won three out of the 21 major awards in the five-day festival, which attracted 44 entries from nine countries.
Japan and Thailand gained two major awards.
Awards in the festival were given under three broad categories - large merlion, small merlion and pewter plates, in that order.
Singapore's Minister of Culture, Mr. Jek Yeun Thong, presented the awards at the National Theatre. The ceremony was watched by hundreds of people, including some 250 Asian Film Stars.
Bangkok is to be the venue for next year's festival.
