Background: Mr. Frank Jackson of Bolton in the north-west of England, talked on Saturday (9 January) about his brother Geoffrey, the British Ambassador in Uruguay kidnapped on Friday (8 January) in Montevideo.

Mr. Geoffrey Jackson, aged 55, was snatched as he drove from his home to the British Embassy--latest captive of Uruguay's Tupamaro guerrillas, and the first senior British diplomat to fall victim in the current wave of political kidnappings.
