Background: The Vietnamisation programme of the Indo-Chine war, by which American combat units are handing over to South Vietnamese units, is continuing steadily.....if slowly. Another stage in the process was reached this week when a United States Air Force unit flew its last combat mission in Vietnam, while on Wednesday (28th July) South Vietnamese troops under the command of Lieutenant-General Nguyen Van Minh continued scouring the "Fishhook" area of the Khmer Republic. Foreign military attaches based in Saigon were shown by General Minh how the war is being conducted.
This coverage includes official United States Air Force film of the U.S. Phantom bombers on their final combat mission.
