Background: Aeroline as Argentinas, Argentines national airline, will be the first to operate jet airliners in South America. The first aircraft, a COMET 4, arrived at Rio's international airport on April 3, on it's way to BA, for a demonstration flight.
Thus, south america airlines, have ingressed into the jet age. Among brazilian airlines soon to receive jets are VARIG which will operate Boeig 707 and the french CARAVELIE, and REAL, soon to operate Convairs 880.
AA (Aeroline as Argentinas) best the other south america companies by receiving their first jet, will operate several more of De Havillands famous aircraft. With it, AA will operate to the US and to Europe, present flight times will be cut almost by 50%.
