Background: As the North Vietnamese continue their push into the South, the Northern Provincial capital of An Loc bears much of the orunt of the Communist pressures. This film, shot by a Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) crew on Tuesday, April 11th, is among the first coverage to come out of the besieged city since the scart of the North Vietnamese invasion.
Today (Friday), the news is that Government troops have managed to regain control of An Loc, pushing out the Communists who had occupied part of it yesterday. But fighting for possession of the important city on the northern reaches of Highway 13 continues - and Government troops are fighting their way up the Highway to relieve those at An Loc.
