SYNOPSIS: Several thousand Egyptian civil defence personnel including police, firemen and rescue teams held a massive display in Cairo on Saturday. The exercise, said the Government, was designed to test their efficiency in "any eventuality". Among the crowd watching and applauding each performance was Prime Minister Ariz Sidky.
Highlight of the display..defers workers set alight with napalm and rescued by being covered in sand. Other exercise included the explosion of simulated napalm bombay child volunteers putting out napalm fires with sand; and an air raid siren test. The display ended with a massive march past the Prime Minister's rostrum. Similar exercises are scheduled for other parts of Egypt.
