TERZI: "It is not only the question of the buildings. The buildings mean nothing sir, if they do not have worshippers. It could be a museum, and as a matter of fact, his Holiness and Pope had mentioned that he was really concerned, that the places of worship in Jerusalem will eventually become museums for lack of worshippers. This is what we are interested in. We're interested in the fate of the people, the human element, not just the buildings. Mr President the Council have on several occasions affirmed the invalidity of all the actions taken by the occupying power to change the characteristic of this city. The Council is called upon to take adequate measures to prevent the further deterioration and exacerbation of the situation. Thank you sir."
