Background: Saigon June 14.- the 173rd airborne battalion of US army in Vietnam has been sent to the province town of Phuoc Long since the late afternoon of Sunday and ended in the evening of Monday to protect the town and the airfield of Phuoc Long, 25 miles north of Dong Xoai district town. Battles are still going on in Dong Xoai area and Rangers and VN paratroops battalions has been pushed back after many hours of fierce fighting with the communist regular troops.
