    Background: The South Vietnamese Consulate in Paris was damaged today (Friday) as demonstrators hurled stones and bricks through glass floors and windows. Police chased off the demonstrators. Although French Left-wing groups are said to be demonstrating against the South Vietnamese "invasion" of Laos - a spokesman for the Consulate said that "it is the North Vietnamese Communists who have been invading Laos for 12 years."
