    Background: Actress Betty Grable, the favourite pin up girl of troops during World War Two, died in a santa Monica, California hospital on Tuesday (3 July) at the age of 56. She was the star of a long succession of musical films from the mid-1930s to the early 1950s, She came to fame in a 1939 movie "Million Dollar Legs" that gave the name to her best assets, shown off in a famed photo that was distributed to three million troops during the war.

    The film is of her marriage -- one of five -- to actor Jackie Coogan in Hollywood in 1937.
